About me

I am a certified psychotherapist and a member of the Danish Association for Psychotherapy. I completed my 4-year training at the Psychotherapy Institute Aarhus (PIAA) a couple of years ago and have been receiving clients since.

My previous background includes both psychology and the sociology of gender and sexuality. I have specialized in matters relating to gender identity through both research and policy work. I have assisted in pioneering research into gender equality policies in Europe at the University in Nijmegen and been part of a legislative team in Iceland whose task was to reform laws on the rights of transgender and intersex people.

I have had the pleasure to work with people from many different backgrounds and lived, for shorter or longer periods, in eight different countries. I constantly put these experiences to use when working as a therapist. They are an invaluable compliment to my professional training and further my insights into the challenges that my clients face in their every day lives.

My original home country is Iceland. After being born in England and spending the first years of my life there, my family moved to Reykjavik and I grew up there. For the last eight years I have enjoyed calling Aarhus and Denmark my home. My two kids are born here and raised between three languages.
